‘REAL MEN WEAR PINK’ LEADER, DR. DAVID STEINBERG, PROMOTES BREAST CANCER AWARENESS AT STEINBERG DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL IMAGING (SDMI) LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE VALLEY

(Watch Video Here)Oct. 23, 2018 (Las Vegas, Nev.) --- ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ gives men a leadership role in the fight against breast cancer. Community leaders throughout the country, including David L. Steinberg, MD, managing partner of Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SMDI) in Las Vegas, Nev., use the “power of pink” to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society's breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services, and education around screenings and risk reduction.In support of Real Men Wear Pink Las Vegas, Dr. Steinberg participates as one of the local candidates raising money for the organization as all SDMI's campuses "go pink," during Breast Cancer Awareness month – a tribute to those who've been diagnosed with breast cancer. Starting at the front door, all SDMI locations are decorated in pink to promote awareness of breast cancer and to help fund the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives. The American Cancer Society honors Real Men Wear Pink leaders and in 2016 (first year of program) and 2017, SDMI won “Pinkest Campus” in Las Vegas for its Real Men Wear Pink campaigns. According to Dr. Steinberg, SDMI is a front-runner for the 2018 campaign as well.  The award will be announced in November.SDMI personnel are on the “front lines” of the fight against breast cancer, providing all-important breast cancer screening. In fact, all eight SDMI imaging centers in Southern Nevada now offer 3D mammography using advanced digital technology and SDMI is certified as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. The new technology, Breast Tomosynthesis, has proven to be an advanced method compared to digital mammography, featuring higher cancer detection rates and fewer patient recalls for additional testing.
