Las Vegas, NV – Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI) is excited to announce the installation of new MRI technology at the North Las Vegas location that combines the advancements in MRI with the sophisticated engineering of a 3.0T wide bore system. This new scanner provides an optimized experience that delivers more comfort and less anxiety for patients, all while offering high definition results and a wide range of applications to meet the needs of clinical providers. This is just another example of SDMI’s commitment to their vision; to be the medical imaging provider of choice for every patient and physician. SDMI, a leading innovator in healthcare technology in Southern Nevada since 1988, continues to uphold their mission of delivering an exceptional patient experience and accurate results through cutting-edge technology.
This new scanner, the SIGNA™ Pioneer from GE Healthcare, was designed with contemporary architecture that delivers superior image quality and the intelligent design to decrease exam times.
Features Include:
WIDE BORE: A 70cm wide bore design increases space and decreases patient anxiety. Additionally this system offers a wider and lower table making it easier for patients to get on and off.
COMFORT: Coils, the device that lays on a patient during an MRI to direct the magnetic field to the appropriate location have traditionally been hard and inflexible. The new AIR Coils that accompany the SIGNA™ Pioneer offer a flexible design mimicking a weighted blanket. This design not only improves the scan experience, it increases signal quality.
The addition of this MRI to the North Las Vegas facility is expected to add over 100 appointments per week doubling the availability at the North Las Vegas location. Currently SDMI has appointments companywide available within 5 days; this added capacity will ensure SDMI can continue this standard of care.
