Rhonda Fields has been a long time SDMI Team Member. Her career before SDMI was short, she spent some time as a bookkeeper in Michigan before moving to Las Vegas where she worked as a bank teller until joining Steinberg Diagnostic the year they opened their doors, 1988. Rhonda’s first position at SDMI was Courier. She spend the next 13 years moving through the ranks, Guarantor Collector, Payment poster, Lien Specialist, Charge Poster, Coder, and Supervisor. Then in the early 2000’s she was promoted to her current position of Collections Manager. In her role as Collections Manager Rhonda has seen healthcare insurance change drastically over the years. She has been instrumental in implementing online bill pay options, electronic automation of the SDMI Financial Hardship program and upgraded statements and collections practices. In 2006 Rhonda continued her education in medical coding when she achieved her RCC (Radiology Coding Certification) certification. Her dedication to Steinberg Diagnostic, Southern Nevada and Radiology is proven in her 30+ years of service to the organization.
Personally, Rhonda is an Air Force kid who grew up moving 13 times and living in seven states plus Japan and the Philippines by the time she graduated.
