An Obstetrical (OB) Ultrasound is a procedure that provides two types of pictures, the first being of an embryo or fetus within a woman's uterus. The second being the mother's uterus and ovaries.
For this procedure you will lay on your back and depending on the timeline of your pregnancy, you will either have an ultrasound outside of the belly where gel is applied that is cool to the skin but otherwise no discomfort should be felt, or you may have an ultrasound performed where the probe is inserted in the vaginal canal with a wand like device to take images internally.
Not at first. A scan is performed for an overview to provide images for the radiologist. Once the scan is complete, we will invite your loved ones in to be view the images.
Steinberg Diagnostic is proud to employ a diverse group of powerful women throughout our organization. In honor of International Women's Day we brought together our female doctors, executives, directors and chief technologists to talk about what it means to be a woman in business, who they look up to and more. Join the conversation and get to know these incredible women.
We spoke with the women leaders at SDMI and reminded them that 75% of management is female, see their reactions and hear what it means to them to work for an organization that is 100% local and 100% behind their women.
